How To Choose Plus Size Swimwear? ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ‘™โœจ

Welcome to the ultimate guide on navigating the beautiful world of swimwear, specifically curated for the queens who know that confidence looks good on everyone. At BIKINICE, we don’t just sell swimsuits; we curate a vibe. We are where Gen Z minimalism meets inclusive luxury. If you are ready to celebrate every curve, you are in the right place. Choosing the right swimwear isn't about hiding who you are; it is about highlighting the power, softness, and strength of your body. Let’s dive deep into the art of selecting the perfect piece that empowers your Hot Girl Summer. ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐ŸŒŸ Understanding Your Body Shape is the First Step to Magic ๐ŸŒŸ

Before we even look at a single rack of clothes or scroll through a single pixel on your screen, we need to talk about body neutrality. This isn't about "fixing" your body because your body was never broken. It is about understanding your unique silhouette so you can choose a swimsuit that honors it. At BIKINICE, we believe that when you understand your shape, you stop looking for "coverage" and start looking for celebration.

Let’s break down the common plus-size silhouettes, but remember, you might be a beautiful mix of these! ๐ŸŽญ

The Apple Shape ๐ŸŽ
If you carry your weight around the midsection but have lovely, slender legs and arms, you are likely an apple shape. The goal here is to create definition at the waist while showing off those gams! Look for tummy-control swimwear that features ruching or gathering at the stomach. This is a secret weapon! The fabric creates a textured layer that smooths without compressing too tightly. High-waisted bottoms are your best friend here. They provide that gentle sculpting tummy-control we all rave about. Pair this with a top that has interesting straps or a plunging neckline to draw the eye upward. ๐Ÿ‘€โœจ

The Pear Shape ๐Ÿ
Hello, hourglass potential! If your hips are wider than your bust, you are a pear. The strategy here is balance. You want to add volume to the top to match the bottom. Bandeau tops with ruffles, padding, or bright colors are fantastic. For the bottoms, since you have beautiful hips, you don't need to hide them! However, if you want a bit of smoothing, look for boy shorts or skirted bottoms. The key is to find a bottom cut that doesn't cut off at the widest part of the hip, which can create a "muffin top" effect that we simply do not have time for. Instead, look for a high-cut leg which elongates the hip line and makes your legs look miles long. ๐Ÿฆต๐Ÿ’ซ

**The Hourglass Shape #You have a defined waist with your bust and hips being roughly the same width. This is the shape that vintage styles were made for! You want to accentuate that waist. One-piece swimsuits with cut-outs or belted details are stunning. Wrap-style tops and high-cut bikini bottoms will showcase your curves perfectly. Avoid boxy shapes that hide your waistline. You’ve got the curve, so flaunt it! BIKINICE’s clean lines are designed specifically to hug an hourglass figure without digging in. ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ˜

The Rectangle Shape ๐Ÿ“
If your bust, waist, and hips are fairly similar in width, you have a rectangle shape. The goal here is to create the illusion of a waist. Peplum tops are a game-changer because the flared fabric adds volume and creates a waistline visually. Ruching down the center of a one-piece or bikini top also creates a slimming vertical line that mimics a waist. You can also play with color blocking—a darker color on the sides and a lighter color or print in the middle will create a slimming illusion. ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ‘™

๐Ÿงต The Fabric of Dreams: Why Material Matters ๐Ÿงต

We cannot talk about inclusive luxury without talking about what touches your skin. Cheap swimwear feels like plastic wrap—suffocating and shiny in a bad way. BIKINICE uses fabrics that feel like a second skin, a high-end compression that holds you in while letting you breathe.

The Power of Spandex and Nylon Blends ๐Ÿ”ฌ
Look for a high percentage of Spandex (also known as Elastane or Lycra). This is what gives the swimwear its stretch and recovery. Recovery is the magic word here. It means the suit stretches over your curves but snaps back to its original shape after you get out of the water. If a suit has poor recovery, it will bag out at the knees and bum after an hour of wearing it. We ensure our XS-4XL sizes are tested for perfect recovery so your sculpting tummy-control lasts all day, from beach volleyball to cocktail hour. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿน

Chlorine Resistance and Durability ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ
If you are a frequent swimmer, you need fabric that laughs at chlorine. Polyester-heavy blends are often more resistant to chlorine and sunscreen oils than standard nylon. A degraded fabric loses its elasticity, which leads to sagging and a lack of support. Investing in a high-quality piece means you aren't buying a new suit every summer. It’s sustainable, it’s chic, and it’s smart. ๐Ÿง โœจ

Texture and Lining: The Invisible Support System ๐Ÿ—๏ธ
A fully lined swimsuit is non-negotiable for plus sizes. The lining provides an extra layer of supportive designs and prevents the sheer factor when the fabric stretches over curves. Look for power mesh lining in the tummy area. This is a firm, breathable mesh that acts like shapewear. It’s the engineering behind the Hot Girl Summer look—smooth, tight, and secure. Also, textured fabrics like ribbed knit or crinkle nylon are fantastic because they camouflage texture on the body. They don't cling to every lump or bump; they drape over them beautifully. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ‘—

๐ŸŽจ Design Details That Change Everything ๐ŸŽจ

It’s the little things that make a big difference. Minimalism doesn't mean boring; it means intentional design. Every strap, ring, and seam on a BIKINICE suit is there for a reason—to lift, separate, and celebrate.

The Magic of Ruching and Gathering ๐Ÿช„
We mentioned ruching before, but let’s worship it properly. Ruching is the gathering of fabric in a specific area. When placed vertically on a torso, it creates a slimming column. When placed horizontally across the bust, it adds volume. When placed strategically on the hips, it hides tummy rolls. It is the ultimate shapeshifter. Our tummy-control one-pieces use extensive ruching to ensure you feel secure and sculpted without feeling restricted. It’s like a hug from the fabric itself. ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค

Underwire vs. Soft Cup vs. Bralette: Finding Your Lift ๐Ÿ‘™
For larger busts, support is not a luxury; it’s a necessity.

  • Underwire: If you need serious lift and separation, look for hidden underwires encased in soft fabric so they don't poke. The wire should encircle the breast tissue completely.
  • Soft Cup: These provide shape and modesty without the rigidity of wire. They are comfortable for lounging but might not offer enough bounce for active water sports.
  • Bralette/Triangle: These are trendy and comfy, often relying on strap tension for lift. Look for styles with wide, adjustable straps that don't dig into your shoulders. At BIKINICE, we often combine a bralette aesthetic with hidden support bands to give you the look of a triangle top with the security of a sports bra. ๐Ÿคธ‍โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช

Straps: The Unsung Heroes of Support ๐Ÿ”—
Thin spaghetti straps are cute, but for plus-size busts, they can feel like a cheese grater on your shoulders. Wide straps distribute weight better and provide more lift. Halter necks are excellent because they tie behind the neck, allowing you to adjust the tension and lift the bust from the bottom up. Racerback styles (straps converging at the back) prevent straps from slipping off your shoulders and provide a sporty, secure fit. Don't be afraid of straps—embrace them as functional jewelry! ๐Ÿ’Žโœจ

Hardware: Rings, Bucks, and Gold ๐Ÿ’
Gold accents add that inclusive luxury touch. But hardware also serves a function. A gold ring in the center of a bikini top can visually separate the bust, creating a flattering lift. Adjustable sliders on the straps allow you to customize the fit instantly. Bucks and clasps should be high-quality plastic or coated metal so they don't rust in the salt water or heat up too much in the sun. โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ—๏ธ

๐Ÿ“ The Science of Sizing: XS to 4XL and Beyond ๐Ÿ“

Let’s address the elephant in the changing room: Vanity Sizing. It’s a mess. A size 16 in one brand is a size 20 in another. This is why BIKINICE focuses on inclusive sizing based on actual body measurements rather than arbitrary numbers.

How to Measure Yourself Like a Pro ๐Ÿ“
Grab a flexible tape measure (or a piece of string you can measure later). Stand tall, but relaxed. Don't suck in your stomach—measure the body that will be wearing the suit!

  1. Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape straight across your back.
  2. Underbust: Measure directly under your bust. This is crucial for determining band size.
  3. Waist: Measure around your natural waistline (the narrowest part of your torso, usually above the belly button).
  4. Hips: Measure around the widest part of your hips and bum.

The "Squat Test" Mental Model ๐Ÿง˜‍โ™€๏ธ
When you are shopping online (or in-store), imagine yourself doing a squat. Will the top stay on? Will the bottom cover what it needs to cover? Coverage is a personal preference, but for a Hot Girl Summer, you want to feel secure. If a bottom is a "cheeky" cut, ask yourself: "Am I comfortable with this much skin showing when I sit down?" If the answer is no, look for a moderate coverage or boyshort style. There is no shame in wanting more coverage! In fact, body neutrality means choosing the coverage that makes you feel safe and sexy. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ

The Importance of Adjustability ๐ŸŽš๏ธ
The best swimwear for plus sizes is adjustable. Look for:

  • Tie-side bottoms: These allow you to adjust the width of the hip fit.
  • Hook-and-eye closures: On one-pieces, multiple rows of hooks allow for a custom fit as your body fluctuates (which is normal!).
  • Removable padding: This lets you control your silhouette and bust size.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ Occasion-Based Styling: Which Suit for Which Vibe? ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

Your swimwear wardrobe should be as versatile as you are. Let’s curate your closet based on the activities that fuel your Hot Girl Summer.

For the Active Queen: Surfing, Paddleboarding, and Volleyball ๐Ÿ„‍โ™€๏ธ
You need supportive designs that stay put. Motion is the enemy of a bad swimsuit.

  • Look for: Sporty racerback tops, high-neck zippers (for sun protection and security), and boy shorts or biker shorts.
  • Fabric: Thicker, compression-heavy fabrics that won't shift.
  • Color: Bold, solid colors or high-contrast geometric prints hide movement and look athletic.
  • BIKINICE Tip: Our sculpting tummy-control fabrics are perfect here because they reduce drag in the water and keep everything snug. ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿšค

For the Sunbather: Lounging and Tanning โ˜€๏ธ
You want minimal tan lines and maximum comfort.

  • Look for: Strapless bandeaus (great for shoulder tanning), micro-bottoms (if you're brave!), or high-cut legs to elongate.
  • Fabric: Super soft, buttery fabrics that feel like nothing.
  • Detail: Cut-outs are huge right now. A waist cut-out adds a sexy edge without sacrificing coverage.
  • BIKINICE Tip: Keep a sheer cover-up or sarong handy. Gen Z minimalism is all about the transition from swim to street. ๐Ÿน๐Ÿ“–

For the Pool Party: Socializing and Cocktails ๐Ÿฅ‚
You want to be the best-dressed person at the pool bar.

  • Look for: Metallics, sequins, cut-out one-pieces, and matching sets that look like clothing.
  • Style: A swimsuit that doubles as a bodysuit. Pair high-waisted bikini bottoms with denim shorts or a flowing maxi skirt.
  • BIKINICE Tip: Our clean lines and inclusive luxury aesthetic mean our suits look incredible with gold jewelry and oversized sunglasses. You don't need to "cover up" to be elegant; the suit is the outfit. ๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ƒ

For the Water Park: Slides and Lazy Rivers ๐ŸŽข
Security is paramount. You don't want a "wardrobe malfunction" on a water slide.

  • Look for: Halter necks with secure clasps, criss-cross straps in the back, and full-coverage bottoms.
  • Fit: Tighter is better here. You want a suit that will stay on through high-velocity water.
  • BIKINICE Tip: Avoid suits with loose ties or dangling straps that could get caught in slide mechanisms. Opt for a sleek, aerodynamic look. ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒŠ

๐ŸŒˆ Color Theory and Prints for Plus Size Bodies ๐ŸŒˆ

Color and pattern are powerful tools for body neutrality and expression. They can highlight your mood and flatter your shape.

Dark Colors: The Slimming Classic ๐Ÿ–ค
Black, navy, and dark forest green are staples for a reason. They absorb light and create a slimming silhouette. A black swimsuit is the ultimate power move. It’s chic, timeless, and makes a statement. But don't let it be boring! Look for black suits with interesting textures—ribbed, metallic, or lace-up details—to keep it fresh.

Color Blocking: The Architectural Tool ๐Ÿ—๏ธ
As mentioned earlier, color blocking is magic. Placing a dark panel on the sides of a one-piece or bikini creates a shadow effect that makes the waist look smaller. Placing a bright color or fun print on the bust or hips draws the eye to your best features. BIKINICE loves clean lines of color blocking that define the body without cutting it in half awkwardly.

Prints: Scale Matters ๐Ÿ”
When choosing prints, consider the scale of the pattern.

  • Small prints (ditsy florals, tiny polka dots) can sometimes look busy on larger curves.
  • Large prints (big tropical leaves, bold geometric shapes) often look more balanced on plus-size frames. They don't get lost in your curves; they complement them.
  • Vertical stripes are generally more flattering than horizontal stripes (which can widen the look), but a strategically placed horizontal stripe across the hips can actually give the illusion of an hourglass shape.
  • Abstract prints are great because they don't have a "right side up," so if the suit shifts, you won't notice!

Neons and Metallics: Own the Room โœจ
Why should skinny people have all the fun with neon? Absolutely not. Neon yellow, hot pink, and electric blue look incredible on tanned, curvy skin. Metallics (gold, silver, bronze) catch the light and highlight your glow. Wearing a bold color is an act of confidence. It says, "I am here, and I am taking up space." Wear it loudly! ๐Ÿ“ฃ๐ŸŒˆ

๐Ÿง–‍โ™€๏ธ Accessorizing: The Final Layer of Luxury ๐Ÿง–‍โ™€๏ธ

A swimsuit is just the base layer. The accessories are what complete the Hot Girl Summer look.

Cover-Ups: From Beach to Brunch ๐Ÿฅ

  • The Oversized Shirt: A crisp white men's shirt (stolen from your boyfriend or bought oversized) is a classic. Tie it at the waist to show off your bikini bottom.
  • The Kaftan: Flowy, caftan-style cover-ups are comfortable and hide the tummy area if you want a break from the suit. Look for kaftans with deep V-necks to keep the elongation going.
  • The Sarong: A versatile wrap that can be a skirt, a dress, or a top.
  • BIKINICE Aesthetic: Our vibe is minimalism, so think simple wraps, linen trousers, and cropped tanks.

Jewelry: Waterproof Glam ๐Ÿ’Ž
Gold body chains are having a major moment. Drape a chain around your waist over a one-piece or bikini bottom to add a touch of inclusive luxury. Anklets draw the eye down to your ankles (the slimmest part of the leg). Large hoop earrings balance out broader shoulders. Just remember: if it's gold-plated, rinse it in fresh water after swimming to keep it shiny!

Eyewear: The Face Framer ๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ
Big sunglasses balance out curves and add mystery. Cat-eye frames soften a square jawline. Aviators add a cool-girl edge. Choose a shape that contrasts with your face shape for the most flattering look.

Hair and Makeup: The Glow Up ๐Ÿ’„
Salt spray gives that "just came from the ocean" texture. A bold red lip or a glossy nude lip works with any swimwear color. Body glitter is optional but highly encouraged for festival season! โœจ๐Ÿ’ƒ

๐Ÿง  The Mental Game: Overcoming Swimwear Anxiety ๐Ÿง

We have to talk about the emotional side of shopping for swimwear. For many plus-size women, the dressing room mirror is a source of dread. We are conditioned to believe that only one body type is "beach ready." BIKINICE rejects that narrative entirely.

Reframing the Narrative ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ
When you look in the mirror, try to stop looking for "flaws." Instead, look for function. "These legs carry me." "This stomach grew life (or stores my favorite meals)." "These hips give me my shape." Body neutrality isn't about loving every inch every second; it's about respecting your body enough to clothe it in things that make it feel good.

The "Good Enough" Myth ๐Ÿšซ
Don't buy a suit just because it "fits." Buy a suit because it makes you feel like the main character. If you have to tug at it constantly, it's not the right suit—even if it's your size. Comfort and confidence are inseparable. If you are worried about your tummy, don't just buy a baggy tankini that hides you. Buy a tummy-control one-piece that holds you in and shows off your cleavage. Reclaim your sexuality! It belongs to you, regardless of your size. ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ‘‘

Community and Representation ๐Ÿ‘ฏ‍โ™€๏ธ
Follow plus-size influencers who look like you. See how they style their BIKINICE pieces. When you see a body similar to yours rocking a bikini, it rewires your brain to think, "Oh, that’s possible for me too." We are building a community of Hot Girl Summer energy where everyone is invited.

๐Ÿงด Care and Maintenance: Make Your Investment Last ๐Ÿงด

High-quality swimwear is an investment. Inclusive luxury means the item lasts. Here is how to care for your BIKINICE suit to ensure the tummy-control and elasticity stay perfect for years.

The Golden Rule: Hand Wash Only (or Gentle Cycle) ๐Ÿšฟ
Machines are rough. The agitation breaks down the Spandex fibers.

  1. Rinse your suit in cold fresh water immediately after wearing it (especially in chlorine or salt water).
  2. Use a mild detergent (like baby shampoo or a specific swimwear wash).
  3. Gently swish the suit in the water. Do not scrub or wring it out! Wringing destroys the shape.
  4. Lay flat to dry in the shade. Direct sun fades colors and degrades elastic.

Avoid Rough Surfaces ๐Ÿชจ
Rough concrete pool decks and hot tub jets are the enemies of delicate fabric. Be careful when sitting down. If you are in a hot tub, consider wearing a cheaper suit, as the high heat and chemicals can damage the expensive sculpting fabrics faster.

Rotation is Key ๐Ÿ”„
Don't wear the same suit two days in a row. Let the elastic fibers "rest" and return to their original shape. If you are going on a week-long trip, bring 3-4 suits and rotate them. This extends the life of each piece significantly.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ The BIKINICE Difference: Why We Are Your Summer Soulmate ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

You might be wondering, "Why BIKINICE?" It’s simple. We aren't just taking existing patterns and grading them up to a 4XL. We are designing for curves from the ground up.

Designed for Curves, Not Just "Bigger" ๐Ÿ“
Our patterns account for the ratio of bust to waist to hip. We know that a plus-size woman isn't just a straight-sized woman scaled up. We have different proportions, and our patterns respect that. The tummy-control panels are placed exactly where you need them—not too high, not too low.

Gen Z Minimalism Meets Inclusive Luxury โœจ
We don't do frills for the sake of frills. Our designs are clean, modern, and sophisticated. You won't find childish prints or outdated cuts. You will find timeless pieces that look good in photos now and will still look good in ten years (style-wise, at least!).

XS-4XL: Size is Just a Number, Confidence is the Currency ๐Ÿ’ธ
We stock XS to 4XL because beauty comes in every package. We believe that a size XS customer deserves the same quality and attention to detail as a size 4XL customer. Inclusive sizing isn't a marketing tactic for us; it's our foundation.

Empowering Your 'Hot Girl Summer' ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Whether you are hitting Coachella, lounging in Mykonos, or just hanging at the local community pool, we want you to feel powerful. Our supportive designs give you the physical security to let go and have fun mentally.

Celebrate Every Curve! ๐ŸŽ‰
This is our mantra. Your stretch marks? Beautiful. Your cellulite? Normal. Your soft tummy? Cute. Your strong thighs? Powerful. We design swimwear that celebrates the reality of bodies, not the airbrushed fantasy. Confidence looks good on you—literally.

๐Ÿ”ฎ The Future of Swimwear is Inclusive and Adaptive ๐Ÿ”ฎ

The industry is changing. We are seeing more adaptive swimwear (with magnetic closures for disabled bodies), more sustainable fabrics (recycled fishnets and plastic bottles), and more diverse marketing. BIKINICE is at the forefront of this. When you buy from us, you are voting for a future where fashion is kind, accessible, and joyful.

Sustainability Matters ๐ŸŒฑ
We are moving towards using Econyl (regenerated nylon from waste) in our collections. This means your swimsuit is not only making you look good, but it's also helping clean the oceans. Hot Girl Summer shouldn't cost the Earth.

Tech-Enabled Fitting ๐Ÿค–
Soon, we will have AI-powered fitting rooms where you upload a photo, and the AI drapes the fabric over your digital avatar to show you exactly how the tummy-control will work on your specific body shape. Until then, rely on our detailed size guides and the body neutrality tips we shared above!

โ“ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: How do I know if the tummy-control is too tight?
A: Tummy-control should feel like a firm hug, not a vice grip. If you feel like you can't breathe deeply, or if the fabric digs into your sides creating a "muffin top" effect above the control panel, it's too tight. You should be able to pinch about an inch of fabric at the sides—if you can't pinch any, size up. The goal is smoothing, not suffocation. BIKINICE uses sculpting fabrics that compress without cutting off circulation.

Q: Can I wear a bikini if I have a heavy bust?
A: Absolutely! The key is supportive designs. Look for styles with underwire, wide straps, and full coverage cups. Halter necks are excellent for lift because they support weight from the bottom up rather than just over the shoulders. BIKINICE offers specific big bust friendly styles in our XS-4XL range that prioritize lift and security so you can run into the waves without worry.

Q: What is the difference between "plus size" and "inclusive sizing"?
A: "Plus size" is often a category for sizes 12+, but sometimes the designs are just scaled-up versions of straight sizes (which often don't fit curves well). Inclusive sizing (like BIKINICE's XS-4XL) means the brand designs patterns specifically for a wide range of body types from the start, ensuring the proportions (rise, cup depth, strap width) are correct for every size, not just the "sample size."

Q: How do I hide my belly button piercing or scars with swimwear?
A: High-waisted bottoms are your best friend! They cover the belly button area completely. For one-pieces, look for a tummy-control panel that is solid (no cut-outs) in the center. If you want to wear a cut-out suit, you can use skin-tone silicone covers or waterproof bandage tape (available at pharmacies) to cover the piercing temporarily for a smooth look.

Q: Does black swimwear fade faster in the sun?
A: Actually, darker colors absorb UV rays, which can break down dye faster than lighter colors. However, high-quality fabrics (like those used by BIKINICE) are treated with UV stabilizers. To prevent fading, always rinse your suit in cold water after swimming and dry it in the shade. Never leave a wet black suit balled up in a plastic bag—this causes color transfer and mildew.

Q: I'm between sizes. Should I size up or down?
A: It depends on the style and your preference for compression. If you want a very sculpted look and don't mind a snug fit, size down. If you are between sizes and prefer a more relaxed fit, or if you are buying a style without tummy-control (like a flowy kaftan), size up. When in doubt, check the specific size chart for that product, as body neutrality means accepting that your size is just a measurement, not a judgment.

Q: Can I machine wash my BIKINICE swimsuit?
A: We strongly recommend hand washing to preserve the elasticity and tummy-control properties. If you must use a machine, put the suit in a mesh laundry bag, use the "delicate" cycle with cold water, and never put it in the dryer. Heat is the enemy of Spandex! Line drying is the only way to ensure your suit lasts for many Hot Girl Summers.

Q: What is "body neutrality" and how does it relate to swimwear?
A: Body neutrality is the practice of respecting your body for what it does rather than how it looks. In swimwear, this means choosing a suit based on comfort, function, and joy rather than trying to "fix" your body to fit a beauty standard. It’s about saying, "I deserve to wear this cute bikini because I exist," not "I'll wear this bikini when I lose 10 pounds." BIKINICE supports body neutrality by creating inclusive luxury swimwear that fits real bodies right now.

Q: Do you offer extended sizes beyond 4XL?
A: Currently, BIKINICE offers sizes from XS to 4XL to ensure the highest quality fit and supportive designs for every piece. We are constantly working on expanding our grading to include even more sizes because every curve deserves to be celebrated. Keep an eye on our newsletter for updates on new size ranges!

Q: How do I prevent chafing in swimwear?
A: Chafing happens when wet fabric rubs against skin or when seams dig in. To prevent it:

  1. Ensure the suit fits snugly—loose fabric creates friction.
  2. Look for flatlock seams (seams that lay flat against the skin) rather than bulky seams.
  3. Apply a body glide or anti-chafe balm to inner thighs and under the bust before wearing the suit.
  4. Rinse off sand and salt immediately, as they act like sandpaper. Our clean lines and minimal hardware reduce potential chafing points.
